A team that care
We treat our patients as family, giving you the same respect and consideration we would want ourselves, by providing pleasant and personalized service. We are accessible and we truly care about our patients. Our goal is to form solid and lasting relationships with our patients.
Excellent dental care begins with good communication. We promise to speak honestly with you about any dental disease. Our experienced dental professionals will outline all the treatment options available in a way that you can understand, and answer any questions so you can make your dental treatment decisions with confidence.
We are accesible. You can reach us in an emergency whenever. We are available when you have follow-up questions, even when it’s after 5 or on a weekend.
Your experience here means everything to us. Our goal is a level of customer care that exceeds all others. The staff is committed to this. If there is something more we can do, let us know and if at all possible we will make it happen.
Our mission is to deliver high-quality professional oral health care. Treatment that last with proper maintenance.
Not Corporately owned
Lately, dental practices are being bought up by corporate entities and venture capitalists as profit being the only priority. When profit is the main focus, it is difficult to provide a superior level of care. Sometimes consumers do not realize that the dental practice is corporately owned becaused the business is bought out but retains the same name it had under private ownership.
Dr Javier Sanz is the sole owner of the Wilmington Periodontics and Implants. You will always be seen by him and his experienced and friendly team. Seeing a familiar face – even at the dental office – is comforting. We love what we do and we are really passionate about. We are responsable for all what we do.
Conveniently located east of downtown Wilmington, we offer front door, street-level parking. No parking in a shopping center or in the street that’s super far from the front door! We are in the 5th floor of a profesional building with elevator. Our 15 windows show us a great view of one of the prettiest neighbourhouds of Wilmington.
Late Opening Hours
We know how busy life is at work and at home that is why we tailored our hours to suit your needs. We are open early mornings to 7pm on weeknights. You can view our full opening hours here.
If you have an emergency, we will get you on the same day. If you are a new patient, we can usually get you in to see you on the same day or week. Our waiting room times are also short.

Cutting edge Technology.
At Wilmington Periodontics & Implants we invest our money back into the practice to offer our patients the most advanced dental technology available.
3D X-ray : We use a state of the art dental Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT). CBCT is a special type of x-ray equipment used when regular dental or facial x-rays are not sufficient. It is ideal to place implants, conduct extractions and diagnose infections with precision. There are several types of CBCT. We choose the Sirona SL 11×10 model because is the most advanced CBCT in the market.
Most of the offices do not provide this amazing diagnostic tool and you must go to radiology center to get it done. At Wilmington Periodontics & Implants we provide this in house service.
Intraoral scanners are having a tremendous impact on the practice of periodontics. From fewer appointments to quicker turnaround times at the lab to improved outcomes and happier patients, intraoral scanning and digital models are setting the stage for greater ef ciencies across the board.
The simplicity of the scan-to-lab process—with a speedier fabrication process, no remakes or botched pour-ups, no need to package models in boxes, and no potential damage or loss in transit— is transformational to the field of periodontics and implants.
One of the most important factors for a successful implant treatment outcome is the stability of the implant. Osstell is a device that monitors osseointegration in a precise and objective manner. At Wilmington Periodontics and Implants all our implants are assessed by this high quality test.
First brand dental implants
At Wilminton Periodontics and Implants, we use best brands in every single step of diagnosis and treatment. If you want to achieve excellent results, you have to use superior materials.
We use two types of dental implant systems:

Clinical photography: Before and After Images
Sometimes “before and after” photos on a practice’s website are actually stock images purchased from a photo service.
Doctor Sanz is passionate about his specialty and loves taking pictures of his excellent patient outcomes. Before and after pictures are a great education tool for patients since they can see the results that can be achieved under Dr. Sanz’s skilled expertise.
Each and every clinical photo seen on our website is one of our actual patients
Flexible and affordable financial options
We will work with you and your insurance to maximize your benefits. For your convenience we accept cash, debit, Visa, MasterCard and pre-payment for all dental treatment. We offer third party financing with Care credit for qualified applicants.
We know that taking care of your dental health does cost money. However, regular dental visits are a necessity you can’t afford to skip. Putting off dental care can lead to more costly dental problems in the future.
